  • Tick spit holds anesthetics and anti-coagulation, which is why they can feed so long, and we don't feel the bites.

  • A female tick can lay thousands of eggs at once.

  • Deer ticks have an average life cycle of two years.

Mosquitoes

  • Mosquitoes can reproduce within 5-14 days depending on conditions.

  • Mosquito eggs can hatch in water as shallow as ½ inch.

  • Removing all standing water and leaf litter in gutters will help control mosquito populations.

  • Female mosquitoes can lay up to 900 eggs in its lifetime.

  • Only female mosquitoes bite.
